Menzies / Bournemouth

Set on Bournemouth’s famous East Cliff, the prestigious Menzies Carlton was another complex project undertaken by the team at SPV. All elevations of the hotel were scaffolded by our in house scaffold team to form a working platform to allow the complete replacement of the slate mansard and bituminous waterproofing.

Due to the nature of the construction extreme care needed to be taken with regards to any hot works. This being the case, FDT’s Rhepanol FK Single ply system was used incorporating in part their innovative Grip fix system. This provided safe flame free application and an aesthetically please finish with no required maintenance.

Work was also carried out to completely replace the dilapidated slate work along the mansard areas with new natural slate.

SPV completed the project, on time, to budget and with little disturbance to the hotel occupants, once again providing a sympathetic, yet cost effective solution to fulfill the clients needed.
