Q Park / Taunton

SPV supplied and laid Road Carpet grade MR2 to the entranceway and ramps at the Vollack new build car park at Musgrove Hospital, Taunton.

Road Carpet was the ideal product for use on the entrance areas and ramps as it is extremely hard wearing and it is resistant to oil and petrol spillages and therefore maintains its anti-slip surface where any spillages may occur.

The works comprised of the supplying and laying of High Bond and Penetrating Bitumen Primer then Modified Bitumen Underlay and finally SPV MR2 Road Carpet surfacing material to the ramps to the entrance area and 4th and 5th floors. All detail flashings were included and were completed in high performance roofing felt.

Similar projects involving the supplying and laying of Road carpet to the entrance areas and ramps to car parks have also been undertaken at London Heathrow, Reading, Leeds City Centre, Belfast City Centre, Sheffield City Centre and Sale in Manchester.

The products are ideal for use on car parks as only small sections of the car park require closing off at any one time therefore the car park can remain in operation throughout the works.
