Holiday Inn, Stoke on Trent

SPV Roofing carried out various roofing works at the Former Moat House Hotel, Stoke on Trent. The Hotel had a large roof area to the centre of the building which was not being utilised to its full potential and the roof slabs covering of the roof surface became slippery in the wet and icy weather and were becoming a Health and Safety risk.

Robert Bosch Plant, Miskin Cardiff

SPV were awarded the Contract for the overlaying of the roof area in excess of 30,000m2 at the Robert Bosch alternator Manufacturing Plant in Cardiff using FDT single ply roofing membrane. The material used was FDT Rheapnaol fk which is an environmentally friendly single ply membrane made from Polyisobutylene with a synthetic fleece backing and an integrated self sealing edge.

Bolton Moat House Hotel, Bolton

SPV carried out slate roofing works to the roof over the Function Room at The Moat House Hotel, Bolton. The Hotel had received a number of complaints from the owners of the flats next to the building with regards to the noise coming from the Hotel during Events and Weddings. Queens Moat House asked SPV to provide a solution to reduce the noise emitted from the building and soundproof the venue.

Carlton Hotel, Bournemouth

Set on Bournemouth’s famous East Cliff, the prestigious Menzies Carlton was another complex project undertaken by the team at SPV. All elevations of the hotel were scaffolded by our in house scaffold team to form a working platform to allow the complete replacement of the slate mansard and bituminous waterproofing. Due to the nature of the construction extreme care needed to be taken with regards to any hot works. This being the case, FDT’s Rhepanol FK Single ply system was used incorporating in part their innovative Grip fix system. This provided safe flame free application and an aesthetically please finish with no required maintenance.

Holiday Inn, Notts Derby

SPV have recently completed the refurbishment of the entrance area of The Holiday Inn Hotel, Notts Derby.

Park Inn Hotel, Telford

SPV have recently completed the renewal of the flat roofs at The Park Inn Hotel, Telford. The Client, Rezidor Hotels, required a Specification to overlay the flat roofs to the Hotel to provide a 20 Year Guarantee. SPV supplied and laid a 3 layer high performance Polyglass roofing system comprising of Primer, Underlay and mineral surfaced Cap Sheet including all associated details. SPV worked closely with the Project Managers, Confluence to ensue that the works were completed within the agreed time scale despite inclement weather throughout the contract and within budget.

Seventh Day Adventist Churh, Manchester

SPV are currently undertaking the refurbishment of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Manchester. The contract involves roofing works, cladding works and the replcement of both windows and the doors to the building. Piz panels are being installed to all elevations of the building to provide a sleek, modern look to the building. The roof is being overlayed using a cut to falls insulation system and a single ply roofing membrane. The existing timber windows are being replaced with new plastic windows and the existing timber door is being replaced with a new upvc double door.

Esporta Health & Racquets Club, Poole, Dorset

Esporta health & Racquets Club, Poole, Dorset - SPV have recently compete the rooflight replacement works at The Esporta Health & Racquets Club. The works involved the removal of the existing rooflights and replacement with new Triple Skin Stepsafe Factory Assembled rooflights to match the existing including all fixings and seals.

Heathfield Industrial Estate, Milton Keynes

SPV have recently completed Phase 1 of the over cladding and rooflight replacement works at Heathfield Industrial Estate, Stacey Bushes, Milton Keynes.

Star City Birmingham, Birmingham

SPV have recently completed the coating works at Star City, Nechells, Birmingham just off Junction 6 of the M6 Motorway. SPV applied a High Performance coating system to the entrance Atrium to the Entertainment Hub to create a waterproof covering. The contract was completed within budget and within programme despite poor weather conditions.

Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum, London

SPV have recently completed the roof refurbishment works at The Holiday Inn Hotel, London Kensington Forum. A High Performance liquid coating system was applied to the 7th floor and 27th Floor to create a waterproof covering. Working along the Project Managers, Robertson Associates, the works were completed within budget and within programme despite the adverse weather conditions.

Holiday Inn Plymouth, Plymouth

SPV Group have recently completed the refurbishment works to the Leisure Club at The Holiday Inn Plymouth following the extensive fire which engulfed the property in late 2010 on behalf of the Client, Queens Moat House Limited. SPV attended site the morning after the fire in order to undertaken all necessary emergency repair works. The contract then involved the re roofing of the flat roof using a high performance elastomeric fire safe roofing system and the installation of new cladding to the damaged elevation. The works also involved a full internal refurbishment of the swimming pool and changing rooms.
